Learn to Knit Mittens

Saturday, December 7th, 14th, 21st from 1-3pm

Looking to expand your skill this winter and keep you hands warm? Join Melanie as he guides you through the steps of using double pointed needles to knit these simple mittens. During the three classes, you will learn how to knit in the round on double points, increase using M1L and M1R to create the thumb gusset, dividing your stitches for the thumb, kitchenering the top, and picking up stitches for the thumb.

Materials: 1 skeins of Germantown, US 4 & US 6 double pointed needles, a printed copy of Building Blocks: Mittens by Kate Gagnon Osborn, stitch markers, tapestry needle, and scrap yarn.
